Mobile notifications are not the preserve of Android phone and iPhone users, as governments manage to read the information shared, reveals US Senator Ron Wyden.
Apple and Google have confirmed that governments ask them for information about notifications from iPhone and Android smartphone users, although this practice has never been mentioned in their transparency reports.
Apple explains that the federal government prohibited them from disclosing this information, but now that it is public, they will update their transparency reports to include these requests.
