Cameroonian startup WeCashUp launches Internet-free digital financial services application

Cameroonian startup WeCashUp, based in Marseille (France), announced on 20 October the launch of its new all-in-one mobile digital financial services application in Cameroon, Congo Brazzaville, Chad, Ivory Coast and Senegal.

This application, the company explains, aggregates, automates and secures all Mobile Money agents' deposit, withdrawal, bill payment and accounting operations on a single terminal without requiring an Internet connection.

"No more typing errors. Deposit and withdrawal operations are now possible with all mobile operators in a few seconds via a single interface. Agent accounting is now done easily, automatically and in real time. The evolution of the balance is displayed and all commissions are calculated after each operation", says the company.

"We have already worked with a few thousand Mobile Money agents in Cameroon, Congo Brazzaville, Chad, Ivory Coast and Senegal," says Cedric Atangana, CEO of WeCashUp. He adds that his organisation is currently working to help thousands of Mobile Money agents, in the various countries where it operates, to get out of the informal sector and work faster and safer.
