Competition: fifth edition of the Challenge App Afrique organised by France24 and RFI

The Challenge App Africa, which is in its fifth edition, is a competition aimed at supporting the development of digital applications in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to fight epidemics.

After a first pre-selection of 20 candidates, a second selection within this group of shortlisted candidates will allow the 10 finalist participants to present a proof of concept (POC), or a proof of feasibility, to the jury. The winner will receive funding for the development of its application, within the framework of what is defined in the rules.

This competition is an opportunity for the candidates to benefit from international visibility and commercial opportunities. It is subject to specific regulations and is not subject to any purchase obligation or file management fees.

The competition aims to encourage and support innovation by stimulating and supporting African start-ups and developers, and to promote the integration of ICTs in the fight against epidemics.

It also aims to enhance the skills of local African developers in French-speaking African countries. The proposed service should be in French.
