Microsoft Teams for Linux available in pre-version

This is the first Microsoft 365 application ported to Linux. All the basic features of Teams are present.

Confirmed in September, the Linux version of Microsoft Teams is now available in public pre-version. Users can download it in 64-bit.deb and.rpm formats.  Collaborative messaging already has a dedicated application for Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and a web version. By launching a Teams for Linux client, Microsoft is responding to Slack who already offers a dedicated application on this platform. The publisher points out that Teams is the first Microsoft 365 application ported to Linux and that it has all the basic functionalities of the service. Others may follow, starting with OneDrive.

Are the applications of the Office suite also on the program? Our colleagues from ZDNet.com asked the question but did not get any feedback from Microsoft. Last June, during a question and answer session on Reddit, Microsoft Edge's development team suggested that a Linux version of its future Chromium-based browser was in the pipeline, without saying anything more.
