Samsung targets record sales for its Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3

Samsung has big ambitions for its foldable smartphones and is not hiding it. While the official launch has not yet taken place, the Korean firm is already planning to break its sales records with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3. It also claims that demand is peaking this year.

At the moment, it's hard to find a real competitor to Samsung in the foldable smartphone sector. The manufacturer showed some flair by releasing the first Galaxy Z Fold a few years ago, when demand was not yet strong. As a result, its rivals are struggling to position themselves in the range. We can eventually mention the Pixel Fold, which is expected to start production in October 2021, but we can't yet predict how successful the phone will be.

Also, Samsung didn't wait long after its Unpacked conference to share its ambitions. If the demand was still low at the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold, things have changed since then, says the manufacturer. The company expects to break all sales records with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3. And it is ready: it has already announced that its production will "exceed market demand".

SAMSUNG BELIEVES IN THE SUCCESS OF THE GALAXY Z FOLD 3 AND Z FLIP 3

"With the new Galaxy Z series, we are bringing foldable innovations to more consumers by breaking barriers with our pricing. I am confident that with our new Galaxy Z series, we can drive record demand for the foldable, inviting even more users to take advantage of this new way of using their smartphone," commented a Samsung representative.

Indeed, the Korean firm has clearly made efforts in the price of its smartphones, lowering it to € 1799 for the Z Fold 3 and € 1059 for the Z Flip 3. It will take that to satisfy the demand, which Samsung estimates at 6.5 million units just for this year. An opportunity that the manufacturer will not let pass. "Thanks to all their innovations, we believe that the [...] Galaxy Zs are set to become the new standard in mobile devices as this category goes mainstream.
