Skype Tip: How do I use Meet Now on Skype?

Microsoft is taking a more aggressive attitude towards ZOOMs and Google Meet to regain the leadership position that Skype once had in the video conferencing solutions market. Here is Skype Meet Now, whose button will be placed directly in the taskbar of Windows 10.

Already tested on the Skype application earlier this year, Meet Now allows you to join or schedule a meeting in a few clicks and without registration. Faster and easier to access, Microsoft introduces this feature and how to use it.

How do I use Meet Now on Skype?

It's already possible to take advantage of Meet Now, and here's how to use the service.

If you have a Skype account, simply open the application on your desktop or mobile and click on the "Conversations" icon at the top left of the computer window and then click on the "Meetings" icon just below. On the mobile application, you will find the same icon, located in the upper right corner of the window.

Then click on "Host a meeting" in the drop-down menu. A new window will open. It is then possible to change the name of the meeting, share an invitation link, or choose a background before starting the videoconference.

If you don't have a Skype account, you can still start or join a meeting directly from the official Skype website using a web browser. The process is the same: you name the meeting, share the meeting link and you're done.
