Wood sector: Gabon launches a business incubator dedicated to young SMEs and SMIs

The Agency for the execution of activities in the forestry and wood sector (Aeaffb) informs that it has just signed a collaboration agreement with the Gabonese Forestry (Gafor) in Libreville.

"This agreement is part of the Gabonese business incubator created within the Aeaffb. It integrates only young Gabonese small and medium forest enterprises (SMEF) and small and medium forest industries (PMIF) that operate in the timber sector from upstream to downstream of the sector, "explains the Agency.

In its mission to support economic operators in the timber sector, the Aeaffb will provide members of the incubator with dedicated premises including offices and a meeting room. The young companies have access to services such as telephony, internet access, office automation...

Also, the Aeaffb, thanks to its experts (foresters, industrialists, lawyers), offers technical support to entrepreneurs related to the core business, training, support, access to information, promotes contacts with administrations and integrates into professional networks.

La Gabonaise des Forêts created in 2017, it will provide expertise in felling and bucking. "Gafor is the first to join this approach and intends to develop its activities in accordance with the requirements of the forestry sector," we learn.

The Pmef are targeted here, according to the two institutions, because they lack technical, legal, and material support.
